i used to have back problems but i wasn't nothing serious , can i still be able to practice yoga ?and if i can , can yoga bring some benefits to my back or something like that ? and sorry for my English is not my first language

Yes, you’re definitely able to practice yoga and yoga can help with your back problems. There are some postures that help more and there might be some postures that you shouldn’t do.

I always advise people that are starting to go to a class or have a yoga teacher and then after you have more knowledge, you can do it by yourself if you prefer. If you talk to the teachers before the class, during the session they’ll be able to tell you which postures you shouldn’t do and sometimes suggest another version of it.

Here are some asanas that help backaches:

Dhanurasana

Marichyasana

Navasana

Tadasana

Remember: don’t go over your limits. If you feel pain or discomfort in any pose, stop it.

Some inversions like sharvangasana are not indicated for people with back problems. If you’re a beginner, you’ll usually force your back instead of using the strength of your abdomen and that will hurt it.
